New Orleans, see it, live it, love it! What a great place for portraits, beautiful New Orleans. We are surrounded by such inspiring areas such as The French Quarter, Audubon Park, City Park, The Fly. Ride down a road filled with pot holes,  bumping along. We also get to be inspired by some amazing people from all different walks of life including Firemen who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe. No money for Firemen, they cancel their vacations, obligatory 96 hour weeks, for Firemen . Califorinia lauds their Firemen. What a job to be a Fireman, give some praise and respect. Everything is for the tourist here in New Orleans. So by all means visit New Orleans.

Mardi Gras starts on January 6, the twelth night, which marks the end of Christmas. 2020 is a year to remember. Beautiful floats. Each Krewe makes their float each year, every year the floats get more spectacular All the folks get very excited, In fact two people died this year watching the parades, they got too close to the floats and fell and the float rolled over 2 people..

Rex marks the end of the parades, Rex is the King of Mardi Gras, Here are some photos of Floats. These floats are from Krewe of Muses, Krewe Of Knights of Babylon, and the Krewe of Rex.

Mardi Gras is a great time in New Orleans, parades by the million. It starts after the 12 days of Christmas. Then there is King Cake. All kinds of King Cake. It is an enormous part of the culture of New Orleans. People work all year for Mardi Gras. They make costumes. paint and create floats. buy beads, so many beads. There are beads hanging off the live oak trees. There are more beads than leaves.

The photos are from the Barkus parade, held in the French Quarter to benifit homeless animals. the dogs dress up and parade through the French Quarter

The Historical French Quarter is the 7th most popular destination in the world. Hence it is a place where tourists visit. The Moonwalk is along the Mississippi River, a great place for portraits. The French Quarter is a magnificent back ground for portraits.

There are parades all over New Orleans for weeks before Mardi Gras. It gets more intense 2 weeks before Mardi Gras, then there are parades every night, on the weekends they are day and night, forget it if you live on a parade route. You are housed in. Participate, a great time to take in the parades and some New Orleans culture.
